**Duties**:

- Check the drawings and work Instruction for accuracy, quantities, drawing numbers etc.
- Advise the storeman of any requirements for materials.
- Assist in the decision regarding items that have been rejected during the Goods-in process, whether it can be reworked, accepted or returned to supplier.
- Collate all material(s) required within your working area for the product(s) you are working on. This may involve receiving and unloading deliveries.
- During the final assembly process, all materials or sub-assemblies must be clearly identified with the applicable job number.
- Assemble the material(s) into a finished product(s) or sub-assembly.
- Ensure the aesthetics of the product(s) remain of the highest quality for the customer.
- Ensure all items of the product are corrosion protected.
- Use manual handling equipment where required.
- Once assembled prepare the product for testing to ensure it operates correctly and that it is within the defined tolerance(s).
- Carry out as appropriate the checks as per the product check sheets and industry requirements.
- Issue a test certificate(s).
- Mark each product with the correct unique serial number plate and manufacturer’s details.
- Once signed off by the relevant authorised person collate completed assemblies and appropriately package ready for collection or delivery.
- When appropriate be proactively involved in workshop acceptance tests or training sessions.
- Ensure the compliance of company procedures such as Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality and Legal Compliance for all areas under your direct control.
- Housekeeping of all elements including premises, people, equipment and vehicles to the highest possible standard in order to portray a professional image.
- Maintain an orderly toolbox and working area at all times.
- Display a proactive, can-do attitude within the organisation with a culture of right first time and ownership of problems.
- Clearly and concisely communicate with other stakeholder(s) in an appropriate medium and timely manner.
- Willingly carry out other duties deemed appropriate by the company.
- Stripping and assessing any units brought in for repairs.
- Assembly of new units.
- Drafting repair reports when required.
- Assisting in both new production and repairs.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: R75,00 - R85,00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 50 per week

Work Location: In person
