Credit Acquisitions Analytics Head

To set, influence, implement and drive the credit acquisition and underwriting strategy of the portfolio together with the Credit Head and in alignment to the strategy of the business area. To support the customer in fulfilling their financial needs and support the credit team by setting a proper credit culture within the team.Ensure implementation and adherence to privacy requirements, legislation, and policy. In-depth knowledge/experience in Acquisition analytics including Credit Appetite formulation, Credit portfolio optimization techniques, Credit Strategy management, Credit origination scoring and portfolio reporting. Deep domain knowledge of the credit value chain and technical understanding of the regulatory framework and best practice, as it relates to Credit Risk acquisition management and modelling. The ability to be highly effective at providing strategic direction on the functional interpretation (and articulation) of knowledge through application of data insights and analytics to grow the Associate business Strong stakeholder management skills including effective communication and management of stakeholder expectations with the ability to multi-function and support both Associate businesses. Excellent leadership abilities around managing people by executing management responsibilities and creating an environment that encourages employee growth and performance excellence. **Qualifications and Experience** **Experience:** 5 - 8 years’ experience in a similar environment, of which 2 - 3 years ideally at management levelDeep domain knowledge and experience in Credit Acquisitions management, influencing and/or recommending business solutions to optimise processes and inform strategic decisions through statistical modelling and data analysis. Preferably recent Credit risk management experience in an Acquisitions environment. VAF experience is a bonus. All appointments will be made in line with FirstRand Group’s Employment Equity plan.
