Nedbank – Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa Job Purpose To analyse information security related tasks within the ambit of existing information security policies, rules, standards and processes, procedures and practices as well as business rules. Working independently within the agreed work practices with minimum supervision to deliver on work tasks. Mentor administrators. Communicate to the specialists; execute analysis work tasks; perform operational tasks; question and recommend improvements to the existing policies, processes and procedures. To ensure stability and uptime for areas the incumbent takes responsibility for; which will require availability per prior agreement to perform job related duties outside of normal working hours. Issue SSL certificates in line with information security standards. Have oversight over expiring certificates not actioned to prevent security, operational and reputational impact to the organization. Formulate cryptography-related security standards and review standards on an annual basis, align with and communicate standards to stakeholders, and ensure awareness is created. Periodically monitor conformance to standards and inform stakeholders accordingly. Deploy and maintain cryptography systems in line with the mandated security standards. Monitor cryptography systems for availability. Perform the role of primary key custodian. Participate in key management duties. Build and maintain relationships with clients by demonstrating understanding of client needs, communicating and acting on feedback, in line with know‑your‑clients process. Retain and grow business with existing/new clients through regular engagement and interactions. Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in culture‑building initiatives (e.g., staff surveys). Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and add value to the organization. Adhere to internal compliance standards and external regulatory requirements for transactions, proposals and documentation by informing relevant internal stakeholders. Resolve work obstacles by managing on a case‑by‑case basis and early escalation where required. Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives and values by reviewing the bank and business unit plan and ensuring delivered systems, processes, services and solutions are aligned. Identify training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management. Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within the specified timeframe. Share knowledge and industry trends with the team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction.
