Information Security Architects – Security Analyst

Information Security Architects (ISA) is a leading and trusted Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) on the African continent. We support our customers in engineering, administrating and monitoring security technologies and provide Security Operations Centre (SOC) services, including proactive alerting and incident response. We are looking for inspired individuals to join our highly motivated and energetic team of security specialists to provide a range of managed security services to our customers.

Role description:

This is a full-time on-site Security Analyst role in Woodmead, Sandton. Specific responsibilities would include:

  • Responding to security alerts and incidents.
  • Analysing logs and alerts to detect potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Assisting with security incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Supporting vulnerability scanning and patch management processes.
  • Preparing security reports and providing insights to improving the operations and security efficacy of security infrastructures.
  • Participating in customer engagements, including advising on security best practices.

Desired experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Knowledge
  • Experience in Information Security and CyberSecurity field
  • Experience working with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners
  • Familiarity with network security principles and best practices
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO27001, NIST CSF)
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)
  • Ability to conduct security assessments, risk analysis, and prepare documentation for audits or compliance
