The Head of Supply Chain is responsible for developing and implementing a supply chain strategy that delivers the lowest total cost, reduces inventory, achieves target service levels, and maximises customer satisfaction through world class service.

Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships with factories and suppliers, ensuring a continuous long-term partnership.
  • Oversee all purchase orders, adjust purchase patterns, and monitor shipment and production schedules to meet responsibilities.
  • Evaluate supply chain capabilities from supplier through to branch distribution network.
  • Oversee production environments.
  • Coordinate project execution and contract management, receiving handovers from the proposals team.
  • Evaluate vendor performance to ensure lowest cost, highest quality, and timely deliveries.
  • Optimise logistics and maintain inventory in the distribution centre.
  • Forecast requirements.
  • Source services, materials and components.
  • Supervising and training employees.
  • Create the supply chain strategy and manage supply chain best practices.
  • Analyse data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues.
  • Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly.
  • Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts).
Essential Requirements:
  • Matric.
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field.
  • 10+ years of supply chain experience.
  • 5+ years of supply chain Management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes.
  • Manage supply chain in distribution business with 20+ distinct suppliers/ agencies.
  • Large number of SKUs 10k+
  • Long lead times on parts/ SKUs used in critical applications
  • Strong Excel skills.
