About the Role We are looking for an Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer with experience in SWFW Development. This position is based in Stellenbosch. Position is in‑office and may become hybrid after probation period at the discretion of the Manager. Key Responsibilities Electronic: Design of new circuits using industry tools such as Altium and LT‑Spice. Routing and bring up of new PCBs. Mechanical: 3D modeling of mechanical test jigs and components, and building/integration of new BoNs. Mechatronic: Consuming both 3D models and electronic circuit diagrams and PCBs to keep multi‑board projects up‑to‑date, ensuring an accurate depiction of the factory floor. Other: Remote and on‑site support of all manufacturing test software, equipment and related systems; design, develop and support data‑flow schemas and procedures related to assembly and maintenance of electro‑mechanical test systems and manufacturing testing, including traceability plans. Qualifications & Experience Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering degree or equivalent with 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Experience in firmware development with C and Python (advantageous). Experience with the National Instruments development suite (LabVIEW, TestStand, CVI) (bonus). Experience with Embedded Linux (advantageous). Strong attention to detail and process.
