Operations Manager

Our client in the Travel Industry is looking for an Operations Manager to join their dynamic team based in Stellenbosch .
Job Description: As an Operations Manager for our client, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth running of their office and the effectiveness of their team. You will be the go-to person ensuring that their office operates efficiently and their staff are supported, enabling them to deliver the highest standards of service. Your responsibilities will extend to covering for the manager when they are out of the office, maintaining continuity and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily office operations and provide administrative support to ensure operational excellence.
- Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Serve as the point of contact for all employees, providing leadership and direction to ensure seamless team operations and communication.
- Handle client inquiries and resolve issues with speed and professionalism.
- Develop and enforce office policies and procedures to maintain an orderly environment.
- Assist with budget management, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
- Plan and coordinate office events and meetings, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently.
- Act as the interim manager in the absence of the company's manager, making key decisions and overseeing the management of all operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position.
- Experience within the travel industry is beneficial.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong relationships with staff and clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software.
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
Salary: R50 000 – R70 000 p.m. (depending on experience)
