The Department The Service Business Line Spare Parts Excel Foundry & Machine focuses on delivering high‑performance spare parts aftermarket solutions and services tailored to our mining customers most demanding operational needs. By combining technical expertise with customer‑focused strategies we ensure uptime reliability and long‑term value creation across Africa. The sales manager reports directly to Managing Director of FLSmidth Excel Foundry & Machine and dotted line to Sales and Service Area Africa Key Accountabilities Drive sales of qualified projects contributing to business growth and profitability. Evaluate and define the Go‑to‑Market approach for different countries and customer segments Lead preparation of project plans milestones and resources to deliver proposals that meet client expectations while ensuring favorable terms for FLSmidth. Set direction for cross‑functional teams to ensure proposals are complete competitive and aligned with customer needs. Monitor project progress recommend corrective actions and ensure proposals are delivered on time. Conduct client meetings representing technical and commercial aspects of the sales process. Build and maintain strong networks inside and outside FLSmidth to identify and capture new opportunities. Promote a culture of safety accountability and collaboration within the team and across stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Administration or related field Minimum 5 years experience in mining aftermarket or industrial sales Proven track record in project sales negotiation and contract management. Strong understanding of mining equipment spare parts and service business dynamics. Crushing technology experience Demonstrated ability to develop strategies and execute market penetration initiatives in Africa. Willingness to travel Strong commercial acumen with experience influencing at senior customer levels. Behavioural Skills Customer‑focused resilient and results‑oriented. A collaborative mindset. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Decisive with the courage to make bold and informed decisions.
