We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Reporting FM to join our finance team on a 4–5-month temporary contract. The Reporting FM plays a pivotal role in strengthening financial governance, they support the Finance Team in delivering accurate and timely results to the Executive Leadership Team and shareholders. The position ensures a robust financial control environment and consistent compliance with company policies. It also drives continuous process improvement. The successful candidate will be proactive, confident, and adaptable in a dynamic environment. They will be highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly to non-financial colleagues. The role requires a team player who can also work independently, applying initiative and sound judgement to resolve challenges. Must be available to start immediately. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Key Responsibilities: Manage financial and compliance reporting requirements. Prepare and monitor the financial calendar to ensure timely completion of activities. Guide the preparation of management accounts and investigate technical accounting issues. Review and validate financial data for accuracy and completeness. Contribute to the development and enhancement of accounting policies. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and short- to medium-term financial planning. Support transactional finance operations and promote automation opportunities through technology. Participate in the implementation and optimization of the General Ledger and other financial systems. Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and manage operational bank accounts. Assist with cash flow forecasting and monitoring. Act as a key point of contact during external audits. Maintain and update transfer pricing documentation to ensure ongoing compliance. Partner with Finance teams to provide real-time financial insights to stakeholders. Provide financial expertise and support for special projects as required. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS WONDER IF YOU ARE A GOOD FIT FOR THIS POSITION? The Ideal candidates for this position are highly motivated and dedicated and should possess the below qualities: BCom or equivalent financial degree. Professional qualification with a recognized accounting body (SAIPA, SAICA, AGA, CIMA, ACCA). Minimum of 5 years’ post-article experience. Proven track record in building or enhancing finance functions, processes, and systems. Experience working with multi-currency environments and preparing or supporting consolidated accounts. Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency. Knowledge of global accounting standards, including US GAAP and IFRS. Experience in system implementation and process improvement. Methodical, process-driven approach with strong problem-solving ability. Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills. Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret and present complex data. Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset.
