The role involves managing financial reporting, supplier claims, compliance, and working capital, with strong cross-functional coordination between commercial, supply chain, and regional finance teams. Key Performance Areas: Play a key role in financial reporting monthly including month-end close processes. Monthly analysis, budgeting and forecasting. Ensure accurate and timely reporting to all stakeholders. Ensure compliance with the Imperial financial processes, policies and disciplines. Identify control and reporting gaps and opportunities for improvement. Implementation of FCCS (assisting with loading, reviewing of FCCS packs, and balancing back to Hyperion Financial Management. Review and upload of FCCS packs received from Operations (Actuals, Budgets, Forecasts). Maintenance and update of Head Office packs. Clear monthly FCCS validations in conjunction with Operations. Assist Operations where needed in regard to their reporting requirements. Maintenance, update and building of the divisional Hyperion retrieve report. Maintain Divisional capex register and reporting thereon. Maintain Divisional lease register (K IFRS 16) and reporting thereon. Review of divisional Head office processing. Preparation of Divisional Head office balance sheet reconciliation. Liaise with auditors at year end. Drafting of annual financial statements where required. Ad hoc finance projects and requirements. Review monthly tax computations for Support BUs for accuracy and completeness & tax rate recons. Assist with investment impairment and goodwill impairment testing for year-end audit. Provide assistance to the Finance Executive and VP Finance as required. Qualifications Required: CA (SA) with minimum 2 years post articles experience. Experience and Skills Required: At least five years’ operational experience at management level in a road freight company. Display a sound knowledge of financial reporting and accounting conventions (IFRS). Excellent computer skills - Be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and Power Point). Be a self-starter, who is able to work independently and pay attention to detail. Display conceptual, analytical and strategic problem-solving skills. Business acumen with strong leadership and management skills. Possess sound analytical and interpersonal skills and have unquestionable integrity. Possess excellent English verbal and written skills. Able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines. Speed, accuracy and meticulous attention to detail is critical. Ability to perform financial, statistical and technical analyses. Strong performance-management focus. Must be an active Team Player. Hands on participation required.
