About SSEN : BESchool Of Special Educational Needs : Behaviour and Engagement (SSEN : BE) is part of the network of specialist schools that operates under the Statewide Services pillar of Service Delivery. SSEN : BE provides educational support and services with schools for students who present with extreme, complex and challenging behaviours across a Kindergarten to Year 12 context. Role The Program Coordinator, in collaboration with the Principal and members of the executive team, provides educational leadership by developing and promoting the school vision, core values and service principles. Under the leadership of the Principal and Associate Principal, the role implements effective change strategies and provides leadership across the school community to develop opportunities for improved student support services. The Program Coordinator works as a site manager for the Engagement Centre, facilitating workforce effectiveness and serving as a role model for self‑development and professional performance. Responsibilities Manage all policy, procedural, physical, financial and human resource requirements at the site, supported by the executive leadership team. Contribute to the development of the school plan through participative decision making and assist in developing policy and maintaining systems. Establish and manage administrative and operational systems to ensure the effective operation of the school within departmental policy and guidelines. Lead specialist service provision across engagement centres, ensuring integrated service delivery across Student Support Services. Engage stakeholders in a culturally responsive and context‑specific manner. Demonstrate innovative, bold and creative solutions to complex problems in collaboration with colleagues. Qualifications & Selection Criteria Demonstrated capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings. Professional knowledge of student behaviour management and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students, including Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs. High level of interpersonal and communication skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes. Demonstrated capacity to manage physical and financial resources. Hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia and be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting; consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before starting.
