Responsibilities < the full reservations process – from initial inquiry to final confirmation – ensuring a seamless and professional guest experience.Lead and manage the reservations team, providing coaching, training, and motivation to maintain high performance. Maximize room revenue through effective inventory management and close collaboration with the Lodge Sales Manager and external stakeholders. Ensure accurate data management in Protel Air, including reporting, system maintenance, and database accuracy. Maintain exceptional guest service standards, delivering personalized communication and attention to detail at all times. Handle VIP bookings and special requests, resolving issues with professionalism and discretion. Manage all guest communication channels – including emails, phone calls, and messages – ensuring timely and effective responses. Collaborate with other Heads of Departments to align on operations, guest services, and lodge standards. Participate in management meetings, preparing reports and providing feedback as required. Requirements Grade 12 and a relevant tertiary qualification. Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Reservations Manager (luxury / 5-star environment preferred). Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills. Sound knowledge of revenue management principles and systems. Proficiency in hotel booking systems (Protel Air or similar). Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Guest-focused with excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism. Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced luxury environment. Proficient in MS Office and Excel. Flexibility to work within operational hours, including public holidays and weekends as required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
