The purpose of this role is to ensure that the right stock is available and presented effectively, lead the showroom team to convert leads into sales, and uphold the professionalism and service excellence of the Woodford brand. This role also oversees daily operations and supports administrative processes to achieve sales, profitability, and client satisfaction targets. In this position, you’ll manage the administrative flow of vehicle sales and purchases, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with service providers to keep everything running seamlessly. THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE ARE: A Matric / Grade 12 certificate, with at least 3 years experience in a supervisory or branch management role (automotive or high-volume retail) Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), CRM tools, and online platforms (AutoTrader, Gumtree, Facebook) Proven sales leadership ability and excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with solid operational knowledge of recon, digital listings, CRM, and sales processes Experience working with or managing stock across multiple channels (retail, wholesale, trade) A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport with the willingness to travel as required DUTIES WILL INCLUDE: Drive daily, weekly, and monthly branch sales performance. Own branch profitability through strong deal structuring, upselling, and pricing input. Monitor pipeline activity and drive lead conversion to exceed targets. Ensure the physical showroom is clean, professional, and aligned with brand standards. Oversee the digital showroom: coordinate high-quality photos, descriptions, and timely uploading of all vehicles to platforms (AutoTrader, Woodford site, Gumtree, etc.). Ensure digital listings are accurate, updated, and priced appropriately to market. MARKETING COORDINATION Liaise closely with the marketing team to align campaigns with current stock priorities. Review campaign performance and provide feedback on lead quality and traffic drivers. Request promotional focus on slow-moving or priority units. Implement local marketing efforts, including showroom activations and branding. RECON AND VEHICLE READINESS Oversee all vehicle reconditioning to ensure cosmetic, mechanical, and valet work is completed timeously. Track recon progress and clear delays by engaging with internal teams and external vendors. Ensure all retail units are showroom-ready and listed within 48 hours of arrival. Work directly with third-party Finance & Insurance (F&I) partners to ensure every finance deal is progressed with urgency. Monitor deal approvals, escalate issues, and ensure that best efforts are applied to secure customer financing and insurance. Keep the team and customers informed of the deal status. Liaise with the Fleet team to ensure the branch receives the right mix of vehicles suited to the retail market. Identify slow-moving or unsuitable units and coordinate their movement to other disposal channels (e.g., wholesale, auction). Support stock planning and allocation by providing feedback on demand trends and unit performance. TEAM LEADERSHIP & CRM ACCOUNTABILITY Manage the Host and Assistant team to deliver against performance expectations. Conduct daily team briefings, allocate leads, and provide ongoing coaching. Ensure full CRM usage discipline – lead updates, sales documents, OTPs, and follow-ups. CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE & ESCALATION HANDLING Manage all escalated customer issues to quick and professional resolution. Champion customer service excellence and lead the team in delivering high-quality interactions. Maintain a positive online presence with a branch Google rating target of 4.5 or higher. OPERATIONAL & ADMINISTRATIVE OVERSIGHT Oversee all documentation, invoicing, vehicle handovers, and inter-branch stock transfers.
