Yard Supervisor

Conducts inbound and outbound operations at company and TSAM depots/yards.

Inspect all vehicles in the Load Build area (built by CAT) before the vehicle is driven and loaded onto our car carrier.

Note all accidents and incidents, ensure daily feedback, and notify the Operations Supervisor immediately.

Carry out spot checks to verify that the driver complete their On-Route log sheets and that the driver has signed his Abnormal Load Permit for his tour of duty.

Acts on instructions from immediate planner to prepare allocated vehicles and staging of loads.

Managing dedicated areas driving vehicles between designated locations as per set instructions whenever necessary

Abide by TSAM and depot rules and procedures

Ensuring quality of vehicles are inspected maintained and bubble wrapped where applicable.

Operates vehicle according to specifications and safety standards of TSAM and depot.

Conducts visual external inspection for notable/obvious damage and reports to Management.

Report any non-functional equipment in the yard - lighting, loading equipment etc

Ensure that the driver is PPE compliant

Inspect all vehicles with the view to identify and note all damages and missing items

Inform the Operations Supervisor if vehicles with damages and missing items are loaded on the car carrier

Observe the loading and lashing of vehicles to ensure zero damages

Communicate status of operational activities management and rest of the team.

Ensure that all documentation completed in the line of duty are completed in an eligible manner

Submit all documentation to the relevant team leader at the end of every shift for safe keeping at the depot

At the end of a shift, ensure that Management is made fully aware of all activities and observations during period on duty. In the event of a hand over to another Quality Inspector, ensure the same is done

Load supervision in accordance with company & TSAM policies

Conduct and record of stock takes

Working with TSAM & company management to ensure operational quality and safety standards are implemented and improved ongoing
