Employer Description Our client is a Food Manufacturing Company based in Gauteng Job Description Our client has an opportunity for an experienced individual to join their team in the capacity of the R&D Technologist. The successful applicant will be responsible for the following: Develop experimental design and execute at lab scale. Evaluate product brief (specifications) from Marketing on new products to be developed Develop products and conduct relevant analysis to verify quality attributes according to product brief Conduct upscale pilot plant trials. Compile production process operating guidelines for product manufacturing and hand over to production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, technical, manufacturing, clients and suppliers Assist production personnel with process and product trouble-shooting and recommend corrective action Maintain updated technical documents related to product, quality, raw materials and analytical methods specifications for products. Liaise with Procurement departments on raw materials and packaging specification changes Other related Duties Qualifications Matriculation Degree/ Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology or Biotechnology Skills 3 years experience in new product development with a good understanding of fats and oils Good understanding of fats and oils processing Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO standards and Food Safety Management Systems Benefits Medical Aid Provident Fund
