Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology / related. Masters degree preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in IT management / related
  • Relevant certifications: (CompTIA Network+, CISSP, ITIL) are beneficial
  • Valid drivers and willing to do occasional travel
  • On call availability for emergency situations
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Lead / manage IT team, including hiring and evaluating staff performance
  • Develop / implement IT policies and procedures
  • Set / manage IT budgets
  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of computer systems and network infrastructure
  • Ensure availability and reliability of IT systems
  • Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies
  • Develop / enforce security policies and monitor / respond to security incidents
  • Security audits and risk assessments
  • Resolve hardware & software issues
  • Manage helpdesk
  • Plan / oversee IT projects
  • Identify and implement technology solutions
  • Improve organizational efficiency
  • Ensure IT operations comply with regulatory requirements

Salary: R40 000.00 per month for the contract duration
