RESPONSIBILITIES
  • It is the responsibility of the QA to maintain accreditation, ensuring compliance with the Skills Development Act, SETA and QCTO accreditation procedures and practices.
  • Monitor, maintain and improve the organisations Quality Management System.
  • Monitor, maintain and improve the organisations Assessment and Moderation System.
  • Monitor, maintain and improving a stock control system for learning material and portfolios of evidence.
  • Monitor, maintain, apply and extend the accreditation programmes and assessment centre.
  • Monitor the performance of contractors against internal quality standards and against external compliance requirements.
  • Monitor the learner enrolment and registration process on the organisations LMS and on SETA systems.
  • Communicate and liaise with SETAs; build and maintain a professional business relationship with SETAs and Quality Councils in recognition of their role in the compliance process and that they are important stakeholders in the organisations success.
  • Provide input into other functional areas of the organisation.
  • Monitor the health and safety compliance of the organisation.
  • Monitor, maintain and improve the exits of projects.
  • Conducting disciplinary procedures with staff, if issues arise (where applicable).
  • Ensuring all staff adhere to and utilise the correct procedures and documentation at branch level.
  • Carefully managing the costs of the resources for the department.

  • Knowledge in staying abreast of the skills development platform and regulations within the spectrum of service delivery.
  • Proactively identifying new areas of learning and using newly gained knowledge and skills on the job.
  • PC skills required: extensive use of Microsoft Excel and Word and experience with Microsoft Power Point.

ADDITIONAL
  • Minimum qualification Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Quality Assurer or similar role.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Skills Development & Training industry.
  • SA valid driver licence preferable, as travelling may be required.
