We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Meat Casing Grader specialising in the evaluation of meat casings to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for meticulously assessing the quality of meat casings, ensuring adherence to industry standards and specifications. This role demands a sharp attention to detail, a profound understanding of meat quality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

 

Responsibilities:

Quality Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments of meat casings, examining factors such as texture, colour, and size to verify compliance with industry standards and customer expectations.

Grading and Sorting: Accurately categorize meat casings into grades according to predefined criteria, and efficiently sort them for further processing or packaging.

 

Key Competencies:

Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to discern subtle variations in meat casing quality, guaranteeing the selection of only the highest-quality products.

Time Management: Proficient in managing and prioritizing tasks effectively within a fast-paced setting.

Physical Endurance: Capable of enduring prolonged periods of standing and handling meat products consistently.

Adaptability: Willingness to work in a cold environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Preferred previous experience in a meat processing plant or a similar role, although not mandatory.
  • High school or equivalent; additional certification in food safety or processing is advantageous.
  • Clear criminal record.
