Our client is looking for a dedicated and innovative Process Technologist specialized in Meat Casing to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing meat casing processes, ensuring product quality, and contributing to the development of new casing solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and a deep understanding of meat processing technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement process improvements for meat casing production to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability. Analyze current processes and recommend modifications to reduce costs and increase productivity.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all meat casing products meet industry standards and customer specifications. Implement rigorous testing and quality control measures to maintain product integrity and safety.

  • Product Development: Collaborate with the R&D team to design and test new casing products. Stay abreast of market trends and technological advancements to drive innovation within the company.

  • Troubleshooting: Act as a key problem solver for any technical issues arising in the production process. Provide technical support and training to production staff to minimize downtime and ensure continuous improvement.

  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all processes comply with regulatory requirements and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the production facility.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality control, R&D, production, and supply chain, to ensure project goals are met and processes are seamlessly integrated.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Meat Science, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a process technology role within the meat processing or related industry, with a focus on meat casing production.

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., HACCP, Six Sigma) are advantageous.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with process simulation software and advanced analytical tools.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in the meat processing industry.
