Vacancy: Receiving Supervisor (Retail) – Pietermaritzburg, KZN Our Client, a leader in the Retail Industry, is seeking to employ an experienced Receiving Supervisor to join their dynamic team. Applicants must reside in Pietermaritzburg. Desired Experience and Qualification Preference will be given to candidates with formal education in Logistics, Warehousing, or Business Administration. At least 3 (Three) years of experience in a related role; experience in the Retail Sector is preferred. Ability to perform well under pressure. Excellent attention to detail. Punctuality. Clear criminal record. Duties and Responsibilities Educate colleagues on the care and preservation of received items and the use of operating equipment. Train colleagues on handling, sorting, and maintaining stock. Review records for accuracy and compliance with client procedures. Determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow. Provide instructions to improve receiving efficiency. Assign duties and assess work for accuracy, neatness, and policy conformance. Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances. Ensure Quality Assurance procedures for inbound shipments are followed. Evaluate reports and respond to quality issues. Safeguard company funds and property. Implement personnel practices successfully. Adhere to security, access control, and record-keeping procedures. Supervise compliance with receiving practices and policies. Conduct regular maintenance of the stores' receiving area. Maintain an orderly and neat stock and receiving area. Coordinate with central distribution and inventory control departments.
