Financial Accountant – Stellenbosch A dynamic veterinary company is looking for a Qualified Professional Accountant (SA) to join their team as a Financial Accountant. Location Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly management reports, including P&L statements, variances, and KPIs. Assist with year‑end audits and ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and other regulatory requirements. Collaborate with management on budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial insights for strategic decisions. Process payroll and oversee accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely collections and payments. Implement and improve accounting systems, processes, and workflows for accuracy and efficiency. Manage inventory, cost accounting, and asset registers, ensuring accurate reconciliations and valuations. Support cross‑functional projects, operational improvements, and ad‑hoc initiatives across the business. Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold high ethical standards in all financial matters. Requirements Qualified Professional Accountant (SA). 1–3 years of post‑article experience. Proficiency in Xero is essential, with the ability to manage accounting processes accurately and efficiently. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word). Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans. Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively. R35 000 – R45 000 per month (based on relevant experience).
