This role is based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Master Data on Customers:
    • Oversee and maintain accurate Master Data for all customer accounts.
    • Ensure all new account openings are supported by legally required documentation.
  • Customer Data Management:
    • Update and manage new customer data in the Master Data List.
    • Keep SAP records current with all correspondence and interactions with customers.
  • Dunning Process:
    • Conduct professional calls to customers for timely collections.
    • Assist in categorizing the customer base according to the company's classifications.
  • Payments and Reconciliation:
    • Allocate payments and discounts effectively.
    • Manage reconciliations and submit payment plans.
  • Customer Assistance:
    • Provide support for administrative and credit queries from customers.
  • Bad Debt Management:
    • Apply the Experian Process weekly to manage slow-paying accounts.
    • Issue early warning notices to the Senior Credit Controller for overdue accounts.
    • Prepare all necessary documentation for the legal process, including all relevant correspondence.
  • General Administration:
    • Collaborate with sales teams on queries and dunning procedures.
    • Process SAP credit notes and invoices for customers.
  • Archiving Management:
    • Ensure accurate filing of new applications and updates in customer status.
    • Verify surety details and special arrangements.
  • Credit Tickets Management:
    • Follow up on credit tickets on behalf of customers.
    • Support credit staff with customer queries related to credit requests.
  • Project Management:
    • Assist the Financial Controller and Senior Credit Controller with ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications and Experience needed:
  • Completed Matric with Completed Credit Management Course
  • 5 years experience in credit management
  • Local and Foreign accounts would be advantageous
