Duties include, but are not limited to:

Drafting of transfer documents.
Requesting bond cancellation figures.
Requesting rates clearance figures.
Requesting levy clearance figures.
Requesting guarantees.
Requesting of transfer duty.
Submission of transfer duty.
Electronic rates applications.
Title deed applications.
Drafting and arrangement of final accounts.
Prepares documents for lodgement at Deeds Office.
Attends to Deed Office searches.
Attends to the signing of documents.
Drafting of bond and bond cancellation documents.
Preparing documentation for banking institutions.
Contacting and liaising with clients, the Deeds Office, local authorities, estate agents, SARS, managing agents, banks and attorneys.
Attends to all client and Attorney queries in a prompt and efficient manner.
Typing of letters and emails on behalf of Director and Attorneys.
Opening of client files and maintenance thereafter.
Diary management: arrangement of meetings and appointments, travel arrangements, visa arrangements, etc.
Ad hoc personal errands for Director.
Implementation and maintenance of accurate, up-to-date and well-organised filing system (hardcopy and digital).
Dictation typing.
General administrative duties i.e. telephonic follow-ups, faxing, filing, photocopying, scanning.
Arranging courier services for legal documentation
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric
Legal Secretarial/Secretarial tertiary qualification is advantageous.
At least 5 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary.
Experience within the property law sector is advantageous.
Professional spoken and attired.
Even-tempered and able to cope under pressure.
Logical, systematic and effective.
Meticulous; attention to detail is paramount.
Well-organised and able to effectively multi-task.
High-level communication skills, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
