Position Manager – Inspections (Operations) Ref No : (ref in original description) Business Unit: Food & Associated Industries Reporting to: General Manager – Food & Associated Industries Location: Cape Town CTC (Basic Salary): Annual CTC Package (R 1,, – R 1,, Negotiable) Purpose To lead and direct the office for area of responsibility including planning, executing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on operational requirements. Key Responsibilities Stakeholder Management and Relations Ensure Compliance of Products / Services within the Area of Responsibility Implement Technical Regulations for the Area of Responsibility Facilitate the Harmonization of Technical Regulations and Participate in National, Regional and International Forums Responsible for the Accreditation of the Area of Responsibility (Quality Management) Participate in the Compilation of the Divisional Strategic Plan and Business Plan People Management Corporate Governance and Risk Management Qualifications & Experience National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Food Technology or equivalent in the relevant Food sciences 8 years' experience in the relevant field In-depth knowledge of technical regulations relating to area of responsibility In-depth knowledge of compulsory specifications in area of responsibility In-depth knowledge of the NRCS act In-depth knowledge of regional, national and international treaties, trade protocols and mutual acceptance arrangements In-depth knowledge of quality management systems Corporate governance policies and procedures In-depth knowledge of business strategy, planning and reporting process Working knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) Financial Management and budgeting Management skills Working knowledge of risk management Presentation skills Behavioral Attributes Planning and organizing Strong communication skills Leadership ability (twice in original) Highly analytical Inquisitive Strategic orientation Ability to exert influence Ability to interpret facts and information Negotiation skills Networking skills Sound judgement Pro-active Assertive & Ethical and trustworthy EEO Statement Preferred candidate is African Male / Female / People with disability in order to meet NRCS EE targets as per our EE Plan.
