HERTEX FABRICS AND HAUS is a leading supplier of high-quality fabrics, rugs, wallpaper and homeware for both the local and international market. The role is based at our head office in Bellville. We are advertising a National Visual Merchandise Manager who will develop, communicate and deliver visual concepts and strategies to promote our brand and product offering. The individual will lead a team of creatives and report to the Creative Director. The role requires leadership, inspiration for others, coaching our retail teams about visual merchandising, and presenting seasonal concepts for national rollout with rollout management in showrooms and stores. The role collaborates with buyers, planners and the marketing team to align with the brand concept and promotional calendar. Main Duties Design and implement a creative merchandising strategy. Lead a Visual Merchandising team. Create impactful and exciting visual displays to showcase product, drive footfall and revenue. Maintain ongoing innovation and creativity in shopfitting and visual displays. Initiate seasonal window concepts and in-store merchandising. Ensure alignment to the brand's marketing calendar and that all promotional and product themes are highlighted in stores. Roll out themes nationally and guide retail teams to execute concept seasons. Build effective working relationships with store management and staff to maintain VM principles. Monitor performance of merchandise styles and reposition stock to improve sales of underperforming items. Develop a budget for seasonal campaigns. Requirements National Senior Certificate A relevant qualification (diploma or degree in visual / retail merchandising or retail management) Minimum 5 years' experience in retail and visual merchandising in a senior / similar role (preferably in décor / design) Minimum 5 years' senior management experience, coaching teams in visual merchandising Premium brand experience essential A keen interest in décor and interior design Broad knowledge of current and future trends Strong eye for presenting collections in an inspiring and commercial way Behaviours Essential Good Communication Skills Resource planning Entrepreneurial thinking Professionalism & business etiquette Detail orientation & accuracy Assertiveness & drive Problem solving Decision making & prioritising Adaptability, tenacity and determination Resilience to stress Influence & impact Contribution to team success Deadline oriented This role will require extensive travelling to showrooms nationwide.
