Technical Trainer The institute has a job opening for a Technical Trainer within various schools. We are particularly recruiting for: Occupational Certificate: Boilermaker Occupational Certificate: Millwright Occupational Certificate: Plumber Occupational Certificate: Automotive Motor Mechanic The prime role of the Technical Trainer (also referred to as the Lecturer) will be to teach students the necessary skills and applications for the development of specific programme disciplines of which one is deemed a Subject Matter Expert. This includes conducting training; assessment & invigilation, as well as drive the development and expansion of the faculty offerings and its delivery methods. Position Duties & Responsibilities Facilitate learning by creating an engaging teaching and learning environment Conduct assessments, marking, and providing meaningful feedback Contribute to programme and content development, and improvement of resources Undertake relevant academic administration activities Ensure a positive student experience, provide student support, and maintain excellent customer service Maintain strong working relationships within the department and with other departments Application Requirements 2 years’ experience in a position within an educational environment would be a distinct advantage. At least 2 years’ industry experience in the relevant trade field. Ability to understand, use and learn modern technology. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment. Must be able to work from our Midrand campus and have reliable transport. Facilitator certification SAQA approved would be a distinct advantage. Registered Assessor and Moderator would be a distinct advantage.
