The individual must have the following working experience:

  • 3 + Years' experience in the relevant field/Previous experience in a refining, chemical and petroleum lab preferable
  • Laboratory operations as per ISO9001 and the QMS
  • Manage and mentor a team of laboratory technicians and scientists, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Develop, implement, and monitor laboratory protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate and oversee all testing and research activities, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are in optimal working condition
  • Develop and manage the laboratory budget, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with other departments, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to support overall company goals and objectives
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in petrochemical research and laboratory technologies

Qualifications:
  • Qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Extensive knowledge of petrochemical processes, products, and testing methods
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other relevant software
