Minimum requirements for the role:
  • A technical qualification in food technology or related is preferred for this role.
  • Previous sales experience calling on the food manufacturing industry is essential.
  • The company will consider a technical food sciences or related graduate with technical experience who would like to move into a role calling on customers and developing markets.
  • The candidate must have good computer skills.
  • The successful candidate must have good communication and good planning and organisational skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Managing key accounts and developing and growing the market within the flavour industry.
  • Building relationships and growing accounts for each client.
  • Managing key accounts to ensure volume and market share growth of flavours in the food industry.
  • Driving sales and new products at existing and new customers within the flavour industry.
  • Identifying and growing new markets for existing products and new products the company has developed for the flavours industry.
  • Developing specific sales strategies to ensure sales growth.
  • Presenting and discussing new applications and products at customer premises that will add value to their manufacturing processes.
  • Presenting monthly sales reports to senior management.
  • Managing and ensuring stock levels are sufficient as per customer requests.
  • Liaising and working closely with the laboratory in terms of product development to ensure the company is able to grow and capture flavour market share.
  • Identifying and analysing customer requirements and then providing tailor-made services to suit customer needs.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
