Together we are designing a world of hope. In the EMI South Africa office in Cape Town, we are looking for an IT Technician with more than 5 years of on-the-job experience to join our team. (If you'd like to apply for this position, see below for details on "how to apply") Qualifications A heart for Christian mission – a desire to serve with your skills Diploma or associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an IT technician role. Ability to take initiative and work independently while working in a collaborative environment. Familiarity with Dell hardware (laptops). Familiarity with CAD software—AutoCAD, Revit, or similar. Strong administrative and organizational skills. Working knowledge of Windows OS and Office 365 (with understanding of Azure, Linux OS, Entra, Intune) Familiarity with Synology NAS-server environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities You will be responsible for managing all aspects of IT in our office (a department of 1) of over 20 employees. Provide first-line IT support for users across the organisation. Set up and maintain Dell computers, printers, and peripherals. Support and troubleshoot CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) for technical teams. Assist teams in other offices virtually/remotely across the Middle East and Africa regions with IT support needs. Manage user accounts, software installations, and hardware configurations. Keep accurate records of IT assets, licenses, and service tickets. Collaborate on system upgrades and IT projects. Maintain clear documentation and conduct IT administrative tasks.
