Role Overview We are seeking a Production and Quality Supervisor to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations and ensure consistent product quality across all cementitious and adhesive lines. The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a strong focus on continuous improvement to maintain production efficiency and comply with ISO and SABS standards. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily production activities, ensuring targets and delivery timelines are met. Manage batching, blending, and packaging of tile adhesives, grouts, and related cementitious products. Plan raw material usage and maintain optimal stock levels in collaboration with procurement. Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards (SHEQ) across the production floor. Implement and maintain ISO and SABS quality standards in all manufacturing processes. Conduct in-process and final product inspections, sampling, and testing. Review batch records and maintain traceability of raw materials and finished products. Investigate and resolve non-conformances, customer complaints, and quality deviations. Ensure calibration and upkeep of laboratory testing equipment. Continuously improve processes, drive innovation, and optimise formulations to enhance product performance, consistency, and cost-effectiveness. Supervise, train, and motivate production and quality teams to achieve operational excellence. Conduct regular toolbox talks, safety briefings, and performance evaluations. Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Maintain daily production and quality reports for management review. Assist in internal and external audits (ISO, SABS, and customer audits). Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation projects. Qualifications and Experience National Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering. Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a production or quality supervisory role within cement, concrete, adhesives, or construction materials manufacturing. Strong understanding of ISO and SABS quality management systems. Experience with SAP or similar production management systems (advantageous).
