Introduction We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Payroll Manager to join our team. To manage the effective, accurate and timeous processing of multiple payrolls and benefits for all permanent and temporary City Logistics employees. The role ensures legal and statutory compliance as well as compliance with bargaining council agreements. The role is also involved in providing inputs into the budget and the provision of accurate and timeous payroll and related administrative reporting. Key Responsibilities Governance and Compliance Payroll and Benefits Management Management of Payroll and T & A systems Stakeholder Management and Reporting Budget Management People Management Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 7) in Finance Registration with the South African Payroll Association (SAPA) will be advantageous Advanced Excel Skills, understanding database tables and structures 5 years’ experience in payroll management and payroll systems specifically Sage People 300, in a unionised environment Experience dealing with logistics industry bargaining council NBCRFLI Logistics sector experience would be an added advantage Valid Code 08 driver’s license / own reliable vehicle Able to deal effectively with all levels of staff including senior management Very strong administrative and organisational skills Core Values Respect and Care: Always show respect, care for and treat everyone fairly, and put people first.
