The focus of the role will be to assist the Head Chef with the creation and validation of dishes, including preparation and execution of the dishes while working alongside the head chef and ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen. Responsibilities Collaborate with the Head Chef to introduce new and exciting dishes to the menu. Taste and make suggestions on improving dishes to ensure customer satisfaction. Edit and revamp menus where required. Cook and create dishes from various cuisines from worldwide. Liaise with the pastry chef to convey desert requirements for the restaurant. Provide cover to the head chef during periods of absence Lead and manage the junior kitchen team members and delegate tasks effectively to them. Ensure food quality is the best it can be. Ensure that food hygiene practices are adhered to by all team members always. Maintain a positive and productive work environment within the kitchen. Prepare ingredients for dishes efficiently and within deadlines. Ensure food leaves the kitchen hot, well-cooked, and aesthetically pleasing.
