This is more than just a finance role, it's a chance to work where innovation meets tradition and numbers drive real-world impact.About the RoleAs Financial Manager within the agricultural division, you'll oversee the full financial function across all farming operations, from citrus orchards and vineyards to livestock and export crops. Working closely with the Head of Agriculture and senior operational leaders, you'll provide financial direction, commercial insight, and strategic support to drive efficiency, profitability, and long-term sustainability.What You'll Be DoingLead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple farming unitsDeliver accurate, actionable insights to support production planning and capital investmentManage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational agilityOversee month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance with internal controlsImplement and maintain robust financial systems and controls; train and support teams on complianceEvaluate new crop opportunities, land use strategies, and mechanisation projectsMonitor ROI and drive continuous improvement in financial and operational performanceLead, mentor, and develop the finance team, embedding best practices and accountabilityWhat We're Looking ForCA(SA) registered - essential5-7 years' experience in financial management, including 3+ years in agriculture or a production-based environmentStrong commercial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting, cost accounting, and financial planningProficient in ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage X3, or SAP) and advanced ExcelExcellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and partner cross-functionallyDetail-focused with a high degree of accuracy and professional integrityFluency in Afrikaans and English is required (management reporting is conducted in Afrikaans)A genuine passion for agriculture and understanding of its unique financial landscapeWhat's In It for YouJoin a renowned, fast-evolving agricultural business with a reputation for excellenceEnjoy a hands-on, high-impact finance role with clear strategic influenceWork in a dynamic, nature-connected environment where innovation thrivesBe part of a collaborative, values-driven team committed to growth and sustainabilityIn line with the client's Employment Equity Plan, this position is designated for candidates from underrepresented groups.
