Job Purpose Support the execution of the Motor Retail Distribution strategy by embedding the functional approach focused on customer growth. Contribute to increasing TIH’s market share through effective implementation of initiatives aligned to business objectives. Drive growth and profitability across existing products and services, while identifying operational opportunities to enhance performance. Collaborate with relevant teams to explore and assess new product ideas that complement the TIH insurance offering, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends. Responsibilities Leadership and DirectionTranslate the function’s strategy into clear operational plans within the area of responsibility. Communicate how these plans align with TIH’s mission, vision and values, and guide the team in understanding their role in achieving business goals. Foster commitment and accountability by motivating individuals to deliver high-quality work and contribute to continuous improvement. Functional Strategy ImplementationContribute and support the implementation of the functional strategy by identifying operational challenges, opportunities and industry trends. Support the implementation of a partnership model and tactical plans, ensuring alignment with defined acquisition targets. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enable seamless solution delivery through technology integration. Manage partner onboarding and support integration activities to ensure efficient execution and long-term value. Strategic PartnershipsFacilitate collaboration across functional teams to support the flow of information and encourage the exchange of ideas. Act as a connector within the business network to enable effective communication, identify shared opportunities and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that support strategic goals. Business PlanningContribute to the development of annual and longer‑term business plans; forecast performance against business key performance indicators; develop business cases for key activities/projects; and estimate the financial and human resources required to deliver performance targets. Support the quantification of key outcomes, including revenue targets and performance indicators, and contribute to budgeting and resource planning. Research opportunities where the insurance Customer Value Proposition can drive competitive advantage or revenue growth for partners. Focus on building scale through strategic partnerships, prioritising those with strong brand affinity and access to high-potential customer segments. Manage partnership relationships to ensure alignment with TIH’s values and enable active engagement at both strategic and operational levels. Stakeholder Engagement (Internal and External)Identify and engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs, concerns and expectations. Coordinate the development and execution of stakeholder engagement plans to support effective communication and decision‑making. Establish internal reporting structures and performance measures to ensure transparency, alignment and timely information flow across relevant teams. Product and Brand PositioningSupport the execution of brand positioning initiatives by contributing ideas to brand proposition plans and assisting in partner‑led branding efforts. Implement measures to assess brand effectiveness and use insights to inform future activities. Collaborate with partners to enhance branding and communication at customer touchpoints, including design and messaging, to drive growth. Ensure product visibility across customer and agent channels, including digital alerts and promotional platforms. Operations ManagementDeliver operational plans and outcomes that support the Motor Retail Distribution strategy within the assigned business area. Work closely with stakeholders to establish and maintain a fit‑for‑purpose commercial and operating model that enables effective execution and supports business growth. Performance ManagementManage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project / account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team / personal objectives. Personal Capability BuildingAct as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team and beyond in the function. Experience 6+ years proven experience in establishing and fostering partnerships (Essential); 3 years Senior Management Experience (Essential); Experience managing budgets (Essential); 3+ years experience working in a financial services environment (Essential); 5+ years planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers (Essential).
