Locations: Johannesburg Nelspruit Durban Cape Town This is a “bench‑role” which exists for the purpose of talent pipeline creation to address our future hiring needs as they become active. What You’ll Do As a Rental Account Manager, you will build relationships with your customers, understand their business needs and establish a plan, aligned to the strategic elements of the organization, to grow and develop your territory. You will stay close to the various people and departments within your customer’s business – from the workshop technicians to the hire consultants and frequently discuss with business owners. Our sales model is about professional consultative selling and it’s a hands‑on job. In many ways you will demo some of the most pioneering products in the industry, promote Hilti Services, manage frequent customer queries, optimise your calendar and administration efficiently and collaborate with departments across the Hilti organisation to deliver top‑in‑class after‑sales service. Far from traditional cold calling, it’s about nurturing relationships with people and helping them find the most innovative and cost‑efficient solutions for their businesses. What You’ll Bring Minimum of 5 years of sales experience. Experience in any of the following industries: Hire, Construction, Engineering, Services Installation, Retail, Tech (software), Mechanical/Electrical. B2B, Key Account Manager or National Account Manager experience (long sales cycles, large deals and multiple stakeholders). Strong CRM knowledge, preferably Salesforce. Strong operational, process, time‑management and administrative skills. Negotiation, listening, communication (English written and verbal) and presentation skills. Microsoft Office proficiency.
