With a people-first approach, they've built a reputation for reliability, care, and compliance excellence in the education sector.The Role: Compliance & HR ConsultantThis role is critical to ensuring that the business meets rigorous UK education compliance and safeguarding standards. Working remotely from South Africa and aligning with UK hours, you will oversee candidate vetting and documentation for placements in UK schools. Around 90% of your time will be focused on compliance and onboarding, with the remaining 10% supporting internal HR administration.Key ResponsibilitiesMinimum 2 years' experience in UK education recruitment compliance or safeguardingManage full compliance and vetting process for education candidatesConduct Enhanced DBS checks and verify right to work, ID, qualifications, references, and overseas police checksMaintain accurate and up-to-date digital candidate files in line with UK statutory and safeguarding requirementsLiaise directly with candidates to collect outstanding documentationPerform regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance readinessKeep compliance trackers, platforms, and systems up to dateSupport internal HR tasks including onboarding documentation, contracts, and basic HR record-keepingAssist with the implementation and review of internal HR policies and processesAbout You2+ years of experience in compliance or safeguarding within UK education recruitmentDeep knowledge of UK safeguarding legislation and Enhanced DBS processesHighly organised, detail-oriented, and deadline-drivenStrong written and verbal communication skillsAble to work independently in a remote environmentComfortable using CRMs, compliance systems, and digital HR toolsIdeally has HR experience or a relevant HR qualificationPrevious experience in a hybrid compliance/HR role is a plus
