Accounts Receivable Controller

As an Accounts Receivable Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing their customers' accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and effective communication across all AR-related functions.
This role is a fixed term 6 month contract and is based in Lanseria, Johannesburg North.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage your allocated list of customers, overseeing invoicing, credit notes, receipting, collections, statements, and queries.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and statement issuance to customers.
- Drive cash collections for your designated customers, optimizing cash flow.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for AR-related inquiries from internal stakeholders and other departments.
- Facilitate effective internal and external communication regarding AR matters.
- Assist in month-end preparations and collaborate with the Accounting Team.
- Act as the main contact for auditors regarding AR matters for your assigned customers.
- Review documentation for new customers and liaise with the Accounts Receivable Team Lead and Finance Manager for approval.
- Regularly review AR master data, addressing any discrepancies with the master data team.
- Provide accurate input for cash flow forecasting to the AR Team Lead.
- Maintain organized working files for allocated customers in shared drives.
- Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support the AR Team Lead with ad hoc requests and initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent.
- 5 years or more of proven work experience in an Accounts Receivable Controller role.
- Worked with a book value of R 200 million or more is essential.
- Previous experience in Accounts Receivables within a manufacturing industry is advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in ERPs such as SAP, Microsoft Navision, or Microsoft D365.
