Financial Accountant Operations (CA) (POS25291)Location: MidrandSalary: R 450 000 tot R 550 000 per annumRequirements: CA(SA) or CIMA designationMinimum 2 years' experience in managing/supervising a teamAt least 5 years' experience in an accounting roleDeadline-driven with ability to prioritise tasksLanguage Skills: Portuguese speaking (advantageous)International Experience: Cross-border/international experience - Middle East and Africa (advantageous)Awareness of Competency-Based AssessmentCompetency-Based TrainingInstructional Design awarenessProficient in MS Office and databases and Advanced Excel SkillsBuildsmart experience is advantageous data input and reviewKey Responsibilities:Full responsibility for accounting up to trial balance, including preparation of journal entries and posting of sundry ledger adjustments.Perform monthly reconciliations of South Africa and Mozambique balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with financial reporting standards.Review monthly prepayments following the creditor supervisors review, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and clarity of supporting notes.Coordinate with the finance team to ensure timely delivery of trial balances as per managements schedule.Demonstrate proficiency in the ERP system to effectively resolve team queries in a timely manner.Intercompany and group accounting as required.Oversee preparation of cross-border payments from South Africa, ensuring compliance with SARB and SARS requirements for advance and progress payments.Supervise, mentor, and motivate up to three junior team members.Evaluate and optimise finance processes and procedures.Conduct monthly reviews of debtor and creditor ageing reports, focusing on long-outstanding items beyond the scope of the creditor supervisor and senior financial assistant.Prepare VAT reconciliations monthly/bi-monthly, ensuring compliance across applicable group entities.Closing Date: 30 November 2025 How to Apply If you meet the above criteria and are ready to take your career to the next level, please send your updated CV to
