Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement the overall logistics strategy aligned with the company''s business goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand and support their logistical needs.

Supply Chain Management:

  • Manage end-to-end supply chain processes, Road Freight and Sea Freight Management, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution. Cross border management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate a cross-functional logistics team, providing direction and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and facilitate professional development.

Cost Management:

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize logistics expenses.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, carriers, and other partners.

Technology Integration:

  • Evaluate and implement logistics technology solutions to enhance efficiency and visibility within the supply chain.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations governing logistics operations.
  • Mitigate risks by implementing robust security and contingency plans.

Performance Metrics:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly assess and report on the performance of logistics operations.
  • Implement corrective actions as needed to achieve optimal results.

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address any issues affecting logistics performance.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency of logistics operations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the logistics team.
Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor''s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience 10 years in logistics management, with a track record of successful leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.
