Responsibilities:

Product Design and Development:

  • Lead a team of designers and engineers in creating innovative and efficient machinery, equipment, and mechanical components specifically tailored for bakery and FMCG applications.
  • Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to conceptualize, design, and model new products, ensuring they meet industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, prototype development, and testing to validate design concepts and refine product specifications.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept to final production, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance to streamline processes and optimize resource utilization.
  • Implement project management methodologies such as Agile or Lean to improve efficiency and responsiveness to market demands.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to the bakery and FMCG industries, and integrate them into product designs to enhance performance, reliability, and sustainability.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging creative thinking, experimentation, and collaboration to develop breakthrough solutions and gain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of existing products and processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing design modifications or upgrades to enhance functionality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all designs and products comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements, conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies, certification agencies, and third-party auditors to obtain necessary approvals and certifications for new products, ensuring they meet legal and market access requirements.
  • Establish and maintain robust quality management systems to monitor product performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed to address issues and drive continuous improvement.

Customer Engagement and Support:

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to understand customer needs, preferences, and market trends, incorporating feedback into product development efforts to deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to customers, distributors, and service partners, assisting with installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and training to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction with our products.
