Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to join our team in the packaging manufacturing sector. You will play a key role in ensuring that the packaging materials and products we produce meet the highest standards of quality. With a strong understanding of packaging quality standards, die cutting processes, print quality, and overall production workflow, you'll help us maintain excellence throughout the manufacturing process. You will identify and address any defects, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspection and Testing: You'll conduct regular quality control inspections on packaging materials and products throughout the manufacturing process. Your role will ensure that every piece of packaging meets customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Die and Print Quality Assurance: You'll monitor and assess the quality of dies used in production and print designs to guarantee consistency, precision, and compliance with specifications. Ensuring color accuracy, print clarity, and alignment will be a big part of your day.
  • Process Monitoring: By collaborating closely with the production team, you'll help monitor and maintain quality standards at all stages of the manufacturing processfrom raw material inspection to final product inspection.
  • Defect Identification and Reporting: You will identify defects or discrepancies in packaging, prints, or dies, take necessary corrective actions, and document/report deviations from quality standards. You'll play a critical role in implementing corrective measures.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: You'll maintain accurate records of quality control inspections, tests, and results. Youll prepare detailed reports for management on quality issues, trends, and improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement: You'll be an active participant in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost-saving opportunitiesall while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Training and Guidance: You'll provide support and training to production staff on quality control processes, die handling, and print inspection techniques.
Requirements:
  • Experience: You should have at least 2-3 years of experience in quality control within the packaging manufacturing industry. Familiarity with dies, prints, and packaging materials is essential.
  • Knowledge: A strong understanding of packaging production processes, die cutting, print technologies, and quality standards is a must. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and guidelines will be beneficial.
  • Attention to Detail: You must have an eye for detail and the ability to detect even minor defects or deviations in packaging, print, and die quality to maintain the highest production standards.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are key. Youll need to troubleshoot quality issues quickly and effectively.
  • Communication Skills: You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills to report your findings, provide feedback, and collaborate with the rest of the team.
  • Technical Proficiency: You should be proficient in using quality control tools and equipment. Familiarity with relevant software for record-keeping and reporting will be a plus.
  • Educational Qualifications: A degree or diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, Packaging Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific standards for packaging and printing.
