Summary:
The Commercial Manager will oversee the commercial function, ensuring the effective planning, organizing, leading, and controlling of resources to achieve the organization's financial and operational objectives. This role requires implementing best practices and driving strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards within the department.
    • Oversee raw material procurement processes, including stock management and control.
    • Manage the Finance, Procurement, and Stores departments effectively.
    • Implement sound financial management principles, including effective forecasting and cost-saving measures such as transport and vehicle optimization.
    • Develop and implement medium-term operational and strategic plans aligned with business objectives.
    • Foster strong relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, auditors, and internal support teams (finance, sales, and production).
    • Provide accurate monthly commercial reports on raw material procurement, stock management, customer reviews, market intelligence, optimization projects, contractor management, and audit findings.
    • Initiate and implement business improvement projects, including IT system enhancements.
    • Deliver efficient and effective reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

    • A Chartered Accountant designation (CA(SA)) or equivalent is highly advantageous.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong leadership abilities.
    • Proficient in financial forecasting and cost-saving strategies.
    • Strategic thinker with experience in business planning.
    • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage risks effectively and think critically.
    • Customer-centric approach with a focus on achieving results.
    • Strong drive to develop others and improve processes.
    • Ability to initiate and manage optimization project
