Commercial Manager

You will work closely with the project managers, engineers, finance, and legal teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and the satisfaction of their clients. You will also identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to grow market share and revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Originate deals for long-term and short-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) for supply and off-take in South Africa.
- Lead and Manage negotiations
- Sourcing and Securing Power Supply
- Supervise and mentor a team of commercial professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Financial Analysis and Modelling, conducting in-depth financial analysis and develop models to support decision-making and strategy.
- Ensure that customer needs and satisfaction are prioritized in all commercial activities and strategies.
- Work with the banks and shareholders to develop and raise liquid guarantees.
- Manage relationships with local consultants supporting PPA activities.
- Support internal analyses of commercial offers received as well as the development of commercial offers made to industrial customers and suppliers.
- Manage internal stakeholder engagements and approvals.
- Actively seek out renewable supply opportunities and manage procurement thereof.
- Proven track record of closing Long terms contracts
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach to work
- A bachelor's degree in finance, Engineering, business, law, or a related field
- At least 15 years of experience in commercial management, position - Renewable energy sector advantageous
- Experience in Power Purchase Agreements
- Understanding the project and corporate structure of large-scale renewable energy projects advantageous
