Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll using the company's payroll system, ensuring timely and accurate wage computations, deductions, and statutory contributions.
- Maintain and update employee records, including attendance, leave, benefits, and salary changes.
- Ensure full compliance with South African labour laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Generate detailed payroll reports for management review, audits, and year-end processes.
- Address payroll-related queries from employees and liaise with HR regarding new hires, terminations, and adjustments.
- Collaborate with finance and HR teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure seamless payroll operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in payroll administration or a similar role, with a strong understanding of South African payroll regulations and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., SimplePay, Sage Payroll, ADP, or equivalent systems) and advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with integrated HR and time/attendance systems is a plus.
- High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in handling financial data.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
