Responsibilities:Lead the team responsible for delivery of:Day-to-day NAV oversight including fund pricing, distributions, yields and other related functionsConfirm the accuracy and reasonability of daily priced funds and daily yields on constant NAV portfoliosDaily review and oversight over cash balances and cash, scrip and NAV reconciliations and assist in resolving reconciliation breaksCalculate and review of income distributions, yields, management fees, performance fees, fund expenses, TERs and transaction costsHave oversight of and assisting in the preparation of fund-related regulatory and industry reporting in South Africa and the UKLiaise with external service providers to build relationships and monitor their service levelsProvide operational input into the management of our client’s product suite alongside the product development teamMaintain relationships with investment teams, client groups and collaborate with other operations functions across the business. Understand, resolve, and respond to queries in an effective mannerDevelop, implement, and maintain effective systems, processes, and procedures to ensure achievements of service standards, reducing risk and improving efficiency. Ongoing maintenance of procedures documentationSupport the NAV Oversight Team through sharing experience, training, and informal mentorshipParticipate in and report to various governance and oversight forums, committees, and boards Requirements: CA(SA) with Asset Management auditing experience essentialCFA would be an advantageA minimum of 5 years’ post-articles experience in the financial services or asset management industryExperience in and the understanding of fund pricing processes and the mutual funds industry a distinct advantageHaving previous management experience would be an advantage Competencies: The ability to ‘approach and own’ and continuously look for opportunities to developA client focused and collaborative approachIntellectual curiosityAmbition, balanced with decency and humanityAbility to analyse, interpret and assimilate informationA strong belief in doing the right thing
