The role is based in Springfield, Durban and reports to the CEO. 35% of their business is KZN-based and the purpose of this role is to grow the sales inside and outside of KZN as part of their growth strategy. 60 % of their sales is to the retail industry and there is a vast untapped market of the tier 2 sector (informal sector) from an expansion perspective. Main Purpose of the role:Increase business development efforts to drive sales to enable the factory to work at capacity in terms of production.Improve on the sales force performance and build a strong sales presence going forward.The essence of role is to put the building blocks in place for current and future growth and put a formal sales structure in place while formalising their sales strategies and processes with the objective of significantly expanding national presence.Oversee brand development and marketing initiatives.Requirements:Proven success in business development and brand management (ideally in the meat industry and first prize would be the processed meats industry or FMCG industry)Current or previous relationships with retailers to leverage off are imperativeStrong Sales Manager in terms of team management (able to counsel, guide and mentor, discipline and ensure motivation and drivers are in place for team)High energy, fast moving, hungry for success and to take a business to the next level in terms of profitability.Persuasive and credible with exceptional negotiation skills.Ability to spotting new business ideas and market gaps and to sell them internally.
