By driving innovation, Matriarch empowers both clients and employees for long-term success in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.Role Overview: The Utilities Management Administrator will take ownership of monthly billing processes, client reporting and maintain a high standard of professionalism in all aspects of the role.Duties and RespnsibilitiesRun monthly billing operations across our diverse portfolio of propertiesEnsure a high standard of communication and accuracy in reports and interactions with clientsProvide support in the management of queries and council reconciliationsMonitor real-time usage data from energy to water via IoT platforms to detect trends, cost inefficiencies and anomalies for proactive interventionLeverage dashboards and visualisation tools to provide clients with transparent, live visibility into their utility consumption, enabling informed decision-makingEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements, municipal billing processes and environmental standardsAssit your team with energy audits, EPCs and energy balance studiesDrive continuous improvement by staying updated on emerging technologies, industry best practices and operational efficiencyMaintain data sources and ensure data integrity and qualityQualifications and ExperienceQualificationsDiploma, Degree or relevant certification in the utilities management industryTertiary education may be replaced by relevant and strong experience in industryAdditional certifications in sustainability, energy management or IoT/digital systems will be advantageousStrong written and verbal communication essentialExperienceMinimum 57 years in utilities management, operations, or facilities managementStrong track record managing municipal accountsExperience with IoT platforms, utilities monitoring systems or smart metering technologies highly advantageousPrior exposure to solar energy, O&M services or sustainability projects is a plusSkills and CompetenciesExcellent analytical abilities, comfortable working in data-driven, IoT-enabled environmentsProficiency with reporting dashboards, monitoring tools and Excel for performance analysisKnowledge of regulatory frameworks, municipal processes and compliance standards in South AfricaExcellent client-facing communication and relationship-building abilities, with the ability to simplify technical issues for non-technical stakeholders
