Responsibilities:Strategic Alignment:Collaborate closely with the Product and Strategy team to develop Long Range Plans (LRPs)These plans should outline our marketing strategies, objectives, Product Introduction and successful launches, Brand Equity, and tactics over the next 3-5 yearsLeverage insights and deliverables to build our marketing approachUnderstand market dynamics, customer preferences, and emerging trends for vital strategic directions with the highest focus on significantly outgrowing Industry growth rateBrand Custodianship:As custodians of the brand, Marketing should reinforce our brand identity across all touchpoints with consistent messaging, visual elements, and brand voiceBuilding upon CVPs across model lineups and attaining the desired saliency, recall and board affinityDevelop brand guidelines that empower our teams to communicate effectively while maintaining brand integrityCustomer Insight and Experience:Marketing owns the process of customer insight, developing insights from deep customer connections and research into customer feedback, market research, and performance dataConverting insights into winning propositions and directionConducting mystery shopping to evaluate the robustness of our sales pitch, customer treatment during test drives, and the overall dealership experienceCollaborate with Sales and After-Sales teams to address gaps and elevate customer experienceStrategic Partnerships:Explore collaborations with external partners, influencers, and industry playersThese partnerships amplify our reach and enhance brand affinityIdentify critical events, sponsorships, and community initiatives that align with our brand valuesSupporting CVP, After-Sales Brand Equity:Marketing is crucial in supporting different aspects of the brandSpecifically:Employee Value Proposition (EVP): Collaborate with HR to support them in enhancing our EVPA strong EVP attracts and retains top talent, reinforcing our brand as an employer of choiceBrand Equity with Existing Customers:Work closely with After-Sales to support them in enhancing and nurturing brand loyalty among existing customersStrengthening this relationship contributes to long-term successCraft, implement and monitor strategies for all Marketing agencies, including Digital, Advertising, Communications (PR) and CreativeTo track the brand equity through independent agency to understand" Brand" in a nutshell from the customer perspectiveThis shall help to improve/modify the brand communication to the market to achieve the desired brand positioningTo improve volumes and market share of the brand by organizing BTL/ATL activitiesThis leads to creation of brand awareness, walk-ins and highlights product advantagesNew variants development by understanding the competitor product analysis, competition tracking and market analysisRequirements / Qualifications:3-5 years in a current relevant senior position with experience in Sales & Marketing handlingExperience of leading the function is a plusExposure to customer care and product development is another plusMust Have: Bachelors degree in marketing, engineering or related fieldGood to have: MBA desirableStrategic marketing leaderFull spectrum marketing experience: Traditional Marketing and Modern MarketingCategory / business ownership mindsetConsumer insight drivenSouth African market awarenessSales groundingExperience running successful marketing campaignsExposure in managing CRMVery strong experience of digital marketingUnderstanding of the Automotive industryChannel /Network developmentStrong understanding of Digital marketingExperience with CRM software and DMS (dealer management system)Solid knowledge of web analytics and Google Ad wordsPeople management, Interpersonal Skills, Strategic thinkingCreative thinking, execution excellenceStrong analytical and multi-tasking skillsDemonstrated influencing skillsLeadership skills with the ability to set and prioritize goalsCollaborative works across product, sales, finance, aftersales, dealersAgile fast-paced mindset, embraces modern marketing and changeBold (Goal-driven) impatient, ambitious, not comfortable "sitting still"Internal Stakeholders:Sales TeamsLogistics TeamAftersales TeamProduct & Finance teamsHR TeamInternal Stakeholders:VendorsDealershipsAdvertisingIO Support functions agencies Please note only candidates with the required experience will be contacted and considered.
