Financial & Procurement Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Duties:
- Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain accurate financial records, invoices, and receipts.
- Prepare and process payments, including reconciliations of bank accounts.
- Support the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Assist with payroll processing and statutory returns (if applicable).
- Handle expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Monitor and report on financial transactions and variances.
Procurement Duties:
- Source and evaluate suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Prepare purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking with suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings.
- Maintain procurement records and ensure documentation compliance.
- Liaise with internal departments to understand procurement needs.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in finance or procurement roles.
- Experience working in sustainable building design and construction.
- Construction, Manufacturing and/or Machinery industry experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.
- Knowledge of procurement practices and regulations is an advantage.
- Familiarity with financial systems and procurement software is beneficial.
