Minimum requirements:
  • Matric and a degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering
  • 10 Years of experience in a similar position within the Engineering industry
  • Sales experience would be advantageous but not a disqualifying factor
  • Ideal candidate should have experience in one or more of the following industries: Manufacturing, Chemical, Mining and Steel/ Aluminium
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Willingness to travel across Africa
  • Valid drivers license and valid passport
Key Responsibilities:
  • Visit clients to assist with problem solving and to identify opportunities where company products are a fit
  • Be actively involved in overseeing manufacturing of products in the workshop and to assist in ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained and improved
  • Understand and interpret mechanical drawings
  • Prepare reports and presentations and present them to customers
  • Log all opportunities and trip reports in Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Visit customers locally, as well as limited travel to Mozambique and West Africa
